She was born on November 16, 1939 in Etna, PA to John and Ethel (Everly) Schwirian.

She received local, area, state and national recognition and awards for her accomplishments. Vivian was active in the Alliance Jaycees serving as editor of The Jaycean, Handicapped Bowling for Troubled Teens, Meals for shut-ins, and social events leader. Her main interest were religion, reading, sports, music, public speaking, and youth leaderships; but her passion was her daughters and grandchildren.
