Samson A. Woods

Samson A. Woods, age 80, of Atwater passed away on September 8, 2021.

He was born on May 12, 1941 in Persinger, West Virginia to William Ward Woods and Malvarie Gladys Ward.

Sam was a member of Truth Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing at West Branch and Mogadore Reservoir, gardening and mowing his yard.  Sam loved his dog, Chunky.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda M. (McCutcheon) Woods, whom he married on October 7, 1978; sons, William (Renee) Woods and Ben Woods; two step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and four sisters.

A memorial service will be held at Truth Baptist Church on September 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roy Teague officiating and a visitation two hours prior.
