Richard M. Spall

Richard M. Spall, age 96, passed away on April 27, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 25, 1926, in Spokane, Washington, to Matthew and Lena (Savage) Spall.

Richard attended Alliance High School. He worked as a crane operator for Babcock and Wilcox Tubular in Alliance for 36 years, until his retirement. Richard served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII.

He was an avid sports fan; his favorites were the Buckeyes and the Browns. Richard also enjoyed camping, fishing and golf, but more than anything he loved his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Susan Mason, Tracy (Earl) Moracco, Rick (Melissa) Spall, Kelly (Tim) Morris; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Krikorian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Blanche Elliott; a daughter, Judy Lynn Dreher; two sisters, Lorraine Courtney and Doris Kibler; and a brother, Tommy Spall.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 3rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Highland Memorial Park on June 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675.
