Richard Lee Miller

Richard Lee Miller, age 87, formerly of Alliance, passed away Saturday August 15, 2020 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.

He was born January 11, 1933 to Frank H. & Martha I. (Shade) Miller.  He was a 1951 graduate of Alliance High School, who went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge from the armed services, he graduated from Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.  His dedication to his country continued into his career, he was employed with the Department of Defense for 29 years as a Contract Administrative Chief Engineer for the Naval Plant representative office at Goodyear Aerospace.

Richard enjoyed woodworking, photography, crafts, and most of all spending time with his family and camping at Springwood Campgrounds.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonnie J. (Crubaugh) Miller, whom he married November 19, 1955; four sons, Jeffery D. (Lorie) Miller of Alliance, Rodney A. (Marianne) Miller of Smyrna, GA, Stephen L. Miller of Charleston, SC, Eric L. (Renee) Miller of Brunswick, OH; two granddaughters, Dr. Jessica (Rick) Fluharty, Lauren Miller; four grandsons, Benjamin (Chetawni) Miller, William “Rich” Miller, Alex Miller, Blake Miller; great-granddaughter, Aubree Kay Fluharty; great-grandson, Owen Jeffrey Fluharty; brother, Kenneth E. Miller of Warren, OH; sister, Charlotte (Fred) Parrill of Fairview, TX; two nieces, Michelle Miller, Melody (Mark) Didyk; nephew, Scott (Shawnnah) Parrill; and also his in-laws, the Crubaugh family, whom he was very close too.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Sunday August 23 from 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.  Interment to be held at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery.
