Rachel Witherspoon

Rachel Witherspoon, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 26, 2023.

She was born on February 25, 1930, in Sebring, to Chelsea and Olive (Hopkins) Ward.

Rachel attended Community Bible Church in Westville. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was her greatest blessing. Rachel loved cardinals and art by Thomas Kinkade.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Randy Witherspoon; granddaughter, LeeAnn Witherspoon; great-granddaughter Kylee Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale “Spoony” Witherspoon; sister, Viola Stockburger; and three brothers, Chelsea Ward Jr., Jack Ward, and Kenny Ward.

A private graveside service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
