Nancy Lou Kotzbacher

Nancy Lou Kotzbacher, age 86, of Alliance, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at McCrea Manor.

She was born February 21, 1933, in Alliance, Ohio, to Alexander and Margaret (McCready) Anderson.

Nancy was a 1950 graduate of Alliance High School and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Kotzbacher. While he was in the military they enjoyed traveling.

She was a secretary at the former Alliance Manufacturing. In 1956, she left the workforce to raise her family.

Nancy enjoyed music and dancing and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda (Bruce) Shonk of Alliance and Sandy (Dan) Tizzano of Medina; grandchildren, Jennifer Berry, Andrew Shonk and Justin Tizzano; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Dyson and Arianna Berry; and her late son’s life partner, Tim Martin of Cincinnati.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Rob” Kenneth Kotzbacher in 2013, and Robert Kotzbacher in 1997.

A memorial gathering for Nancy will be held from 6-7 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.

Alzheimer’s may have taken her memories but never did it take her sparkle! Nancy’s family would like to extend a special thanks to McCrea Manor for their excellent care.
