Linda Sue Ingram

Linda Sue Ingram was born March 5, 1949 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Arthur Mack Mitchell and Lydia Nicholson. She was the fifth child born into this union.

Linda was married to the late Vernon Ingram. The two were married for 35 years until his death on December 13, 2015.

Linda graduated from Alliance High School. She lived in Alliance and briefly in Youngstown. In 2003 she began her travels back and forth to her daughter’s first military duty station at Ft. Still, OK. In 2007, Linda moved in permanently with her daughter in Hopewell, VA, while she was stationed at Ft. Lee, VA. From there she traveled across the United States with her daughter, Samiya Harris, and took care of her grandchildren for a total of eighteen years. Linda was able to make it to Samiya’s final duty station at Fort Gordon, GA, where she resided for three years, and that is where she passed in Augusta, GA on July 11, 2021 at 12:52 p.m.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Marcell (Muriel) Mitchell, Rahmeen (Michael) Loudermilk and Samiya (Jimmie) Harris; her grandchildren, Travis, Breann, Kynan Bush II, Amiya Bush, Alaya Harris, Jalayla, Rreion, Jeremiah Harris, Halo Harris; two great-grandchildren, Simiya Moore and Lakyia Moore; six siblings, Richard Snodgrass, Cassandra Taylor, Patricia Tucker, Brenda Hill and Thomasina Wilson.  She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and associates she made throughout her travels, near and far, and family dog, Bentley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vernon Ingram.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Willie Bell will officiate.
