Kathleen Kuceyeski

Kathleen Kuceyeski, age 67, passed away on April 20, 2023 after a courageous battle with NASH, liver disease.

She was born on September 25, 1955, in Youngstown, to Donald and Anne Yurick.

Kathy graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. She then went on to Youngstown State University where she earned her undergrad and Masters’ degree. Kathy taught at Alliance City Schools until her retirement.

Kathy was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She served Alliance as a volunteer with the Alliance Sports Boosters, Castle Crusaders, and the Alliance Food Pantry. Kathy was also a volunteer for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a member of Renew Spiritual Group and Puckihuddle Antique Club. She loved volunteering and reading. Kathy never missed any of her husband’s football games or other family sporting events. She was their biggest fan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron Kuceyeski, whom she married December 22, 1979; children, Karlin (Josh) Morgan, Corbin Kuceyeski; step-mother, Regina Yurick; sister, Janet (Kevin) Davis; brothers, Ronnie Yurick and Tommy Yurick (Eric); grandchildren, Benjamin, Maddox, and Monroe Morgan; and many family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23rd from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. with Father David Weikart as celebrant. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s website, www.stjoseph-alliance.org.  Kathy will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery.
