Joan L. Hyatt, age 71, went to be with the lord on November 9, 2020.
She was born on June 16, 1949 to Jim and Viola (Moorehead) Hancock.
Joan graduated from Alliance High School and attended Akron University. She was a social worker for over 30 years and worked for Alliance Audiology for over 10 years, but her passion was selling Mary Kay cosmetics. She was a consultant for over 30 years.
Joan was a lifetime member of the Alliance Assembly of God and Marinantha Church of God. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; she was the best babysitter.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Hyatt, whom she married in 1969; her children, Diana (Randy) Galbraith, Terri (John) Dallas and J.B; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Candace; three brothers, Robert, David and Paul; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Pastor Jeff Caldwell and Pastor Freddie Rodriguez will officiate. The family asks that social distancing guidelines be respected and that guests bring their own masks.
