Irene E. (Vargo) Tasker

Irene E. (Vargo) Tasker, age 98, of Alliance passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Danbury Assisted Living in Alliance.

She was born September 3, 1921, in Malvern, Ohio to Michael and Mary (Kasik) Vargo and has resided in Alliance all her life. Irene was an Alliance High School graduate, homemaker and housewife. She attended Truth Baptist Church in Atwater.

Survivors include her children, Thomas (Linda) Tasker of Canton, Dennis (Debbie) Tasker of Alliance and David (Debbie) Tasker of Salem; grandchildren, Thomas, Dawn, Heather, Mark, Denise and David; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tasker whom she married August 21, 1942 and who died November 19, 1994; and siblings, Mike, Joseph, John, Mary and Sue Vargo.

Services will be held at Noon Monday, September 30, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor David Storlie officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Southside Church of God 1320 S. Sawburg Rd. Alliance, OH 44601.
