Gerald Blubaugh

Gerald “Gerry” Blubaugh, age 72, passed away on March 22, 2023 with his family by his side.

He was born on May 10, 1950, in Alliance, to Bernard A. and Lillian C. (Moser) Blubaugh.

Gerry graduated from Alliance High School. He then attended Bowling Green State University and Graduated from Malone College with a degree in Business Administration. Gerry did post grad work at the University of Akron. He worked as the service advisor at Lavery Chevrolet and at Robertson’s Heating and Cooling as the credit manager. Gerry then worked for J&B Fleet Industrial Supplies in sales until his retirement in 2000.

Gerry was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was a member of BPOE #467. Gerry was also a lifetime member of the Alliance High School Alumni Association where he served on the Reunion Committee.

Gerry was a car and sports enthusiast. He found great pride in coaching his daughters on the Alliance Traps Softball Team for many years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheryl; son, Brian Gallina; daughters, Donna “Missy” (Mark) Patterson and Deanna “Dee Dee” (Dr.Joel) Craig; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a still born brother, Kenneth Eugene.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral on Friday, March 31st from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A celebration of life service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Neil Orchard officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
