Daisy E. Russo

Daisy E. Russo, age 87, of Alliance, passed away at her home surrounded by family on January 10, 2021.

She was born on July 20, 1933 in Bergholz, Ohio to Daniel F. Wade and Rosa P. (Palmer) Wade.

Daisy worked for Genie Co. for more than 39 years. She was a member of Alliance Temple Baptist. Daisy was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Moose Lodge and The Christopher Columbus.  She bowled in a league on Saturday nights for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling, as well as spending time with family. Daisy was a supporter of the Salvation Army.

Those left to cherish her memory are sisters, Helen Reno of Alliance and Martha Toot of Paris, Ohio; children Joyce Miller of Salem, Herb (Cookie) Wade of Carrollton, Geri Mathes of Alliance and Rose (Todd) Fry of New London, Ohio; grandchildren, Candi (Shane) Moore, Rich (Lorraine) Miller, Adam (Devon) Wade, Mark (Sara) Worley II, Dr. Nicholas Worley and fiancé Dr. Allison Foilb; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla (Nick) Masters, Sophia Moore, Ashley (Dante) Deliso, Alexis Miller, Alivia Miller, Kellan Wade, Mark Worley III, Phillip Worley, and Evelyn Worley; two great-great-grandchildren, Ellaina Jade Masters and Gianluca Deliso.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony C. Russo, whom she married May 15, 1981 and who passed August 6, 2013; three brothers, Daniel, Thomas and Wilbur; two sisters, Betty and Jean; son, Samuel; grandson, Tyler Sivets; and a son-in-law, Stan Miller.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home Thursday, January 14 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Payne officiating. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alliance.
