Clifford Edward Zeller, age 96, of Alliance passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Bel-Air Care Center.
He was born September 5, 1923, in Alliance to Ed and Bertha (Tescher) Zeller.
He was a member and church trustee at Salem United Methodist Church for many years. Clifford was a member of the Carnation Auto Classics and served on the board of the Ohio Jersey Cattle Club for several years. He was also a multi-gallon donor to the Red Cross.
Before his retirement, Clifford was a farmer, drag racer, Marlington School bus driver and mechanic. He was also a Washington Township superintendent of roads.
Clifford was a father to his six daughters, Margery Grimes of Paris, OH, Elaine (Glenn) Dickerhoof of Alliance, Virginia (Charles) Shepard of Alliance, Miriam (Steven) Bell of Georgetown, OH, Shirley (William) Kuemerle of Canton and Joann (John) Huddleston of Paris, OH, all who survive him. Other survivors include his 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ann (Pilmer) Zeller whom he married June 14, 1942 and who died January 16, 2008.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Neil Orchard officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-11 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
