Cheryl Kay Robertson

June 24, 1956 — April 28, 2022

Alliance

Cheryl Kay Robertson of Alliance passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Cheryl was born in Alliance, Ohio, on June 24, 1956 to her loving mother, Kay (Savage) Vicars and the late John Vicars.

Cheryl graduated from Alliance High School, and began working at Robertson Heating Supply in 1973. After taking some time off to raise her children, she then returned until her retirement in March of 2020. Cheryl loved spending her time with her many friends and family members, but above all else, she adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment she spent as their “Gammy.”

She always looked forward to yearly family vacations and pool days spent alongside her friends. She enjoyed reading, being involved in the community, and attending chalking events to watch her daughter, Lori.

Cheryl was a member of Marlboro Christian Church, the Alliance Country Club, the YWCA, the Hill and Dale Gardeners, and Coterie.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Scott Robertson; children: Jason Cross, Lori (Mindy) Hughes, Ryan (Devon) Robertson, and step daughters: Kara (Vince) Greczanik, and Kacy (Nick) Donald. Cheryl is survived by the absolute lights of her life; her ten beloved grandchildren; Alyssa, Laney, Sulley, Bryce, Jett, Aubrey, Ava, Luke, Emmy and Harper.

She is also survived by her brothers: Steve (Barb) Vicars, Terry (Vicki) Vicars, and Craig (Aireen) Vicars, as well as her sister in laws; Sue (Scott) Neil, Lori (Steve) Keller, Linda (Doug) Wonner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cheryl will forever be remembered for her kind and generous heart. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and help those in need. It takes an army to get through tough times, and Cheryl had the best and most loyal army. A special thanks to all of Cheryl’s family and friends who have rallied around her, surrounding her and her family with love, support and prayers during the last few months. Cheryl felt so loved and without a doubt, knew how deeply she was cared for.

A special thanks to her “bestie,” Carol Hall, who has been by her side every step of the way. Cheryl will be forever missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
