Alnetta Ruth Knight

Alnetta “Arkie” Ruth Knight, age 73, of Alliance passed away on June 23, 2021.

She was born on October 1, 1947 in Marlboro, Ohio to John Byron Knight and Susan Trump.

Arkie was raised in Alliance on Trump Farm where she spent most of her life working on the farm. She graduated from Marlington High School where she played in the marching band. Arkie was one of the select group of band members who played for the opening of the Football Hall of Fame. She loved her Chevy Nova, drag racing, fishing and animals. Arkie got her nickname from her love of Noah’s Ark.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, John (Ashley) Green and Wendy (Mike) Nosic; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Byron “Bekie” Knight; and sister, Odessa “Oakie” Shaver.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 29th at 4:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Nancy Castellucci will officiate.
