Alfred W. Bichsel

Alfred W. “Bud” Bichsel, age 84, passed away on April 24, 2023.

He was born on June 28, 1938, in Alliance, to Alfred L. and Edna (Reber) Bichsel.

He graduated from Alliance High School in 1956. Alfred worked in the trucking industry as a diesel mechanic, driver, and dispatcher. He was a member Salem United Methodist Church and a former member of Fairmount Grange.

Bud was an avid bowler and enjoyed working in his mechanic shop.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol (Ramser) Bichsel, whom he married on July 27, 1958; his daughter, Kimberly (Keith) Bradley; son, Michael (Teresa) Bichsel; grandchildren, Zachary (Deanne) Schopfer, Michael (Amber) Bichsel, and John Bichsel; great-grandchildren, Michael Bichsel Jr., Gabriel Bichsel, Julia Bichsel, Carter Schopfer, and Kelsea Schopfer; and a sister, Diane Costa of Allentown, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law, Sam Costa and Craig Locke.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
