Wilma Marie Mohr

Wilma Marie (Blendenbacher) Mohr, age 86, of Alliance, passed away on July 14, 2022 at The Gables of Canton.

She was born on September 8, 1935 in Beloit to Elizabeth (Court) Cole and James Blendenbacher. Wilma graduated from Sebring High School in 1953.

She loved her flowers, being in her garden and feeding her birds. When she couldn’t be in her garden or watching the birds, Wilma was a ‘snowbird’ in Florida with her husband. She enjoyed finding shells and shark teeth and made a habit of picking up trash off of the beach. Wilma was a caring wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to and treasured her family. Wilma lived the Golden Rule, prioritizing the comfort of others first. She consistently has a smile and hug for everyone through the very end.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Owen Mohr, whom she married on September 20, 1958; her daughters, Susan Mohr (Steve) Baker, Diane (Paul) Cotton, Gail (James) Turner; son, Richard (Paula) Mohr; grandchildren, Lindsay Baker, Zachary Baker, Michael Turner, Alec (Baylee) Cotton, Andrew Baker, Erin Cotton, Ericka Turner, Mathew Mohr, John Mohr, and Mason Mohr; and brother, Robert (Marcy) Cole.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Robert Cole; and sister, Beverly Cole.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 22nd at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jared Priset will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
