Virginia Baier

Virginia Irene Baier, age 87 of Sebring, died at 5:45 a.m. Oct. 2, 2006 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born July 7, 1919 in Alliance, Ohio to Eli and Mina (McPherson) Yeagley and lived in Mt. Vernon, Indiana for 40 years before returning to Alliance in 2003.
She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include her children, Janice Shonk of Alliance, Harold Baier of Beloit, John Charles Baier of Tiverton, RI, Margaret A. (William) Stephens of Roanoke, IN, Donald (Elizabeth) Baier of Mount Vernon, IN, Robert (Chyrel) Baier of Mount Vernon IN, Barbara (Wayne) Pharr of Evansville, IN, and David (Lora) Baier of Sammamish, WA; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur William Baier, whom she married in 1936, and who died in 1987, two sons, Arthur William, and Kevin Bruce, granddaughter Lori Shonk and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
