Violet Marie Obney, age 74, passed away on October 18, 2023.
She was born on December 29, 1947, in Hartville, Ohio, to Floyd and Beatrice Smalley.
Violet attended Grace Cathedral. She enjoyed going to amusement parks and Heggy’s with her kids.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherry (Keith) Atherton; son, Billy Obney; grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Laughery, Laura Marie Frederick, Kelsey Gene Whitten; great-grandchildren, David Michael McPherson Jr., James Berry Laughery IV, Nikolay Matthew Vigilate, Maya Marie Vigilate, Jackson Thomas Laughery, Brandon Lee Noling, and Ava Lynn Frederick; brothers, Floyd Smalley and Jim Marium Smalley; and sister, Salvie Smalley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Obney Sr.; four brothers; and a sister.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
