Vesta L. Smith

Vesta L. (Wayne) Smith, age 85, passed of natural causes on June 27, 2022.

She was born February 20, 1937 to Lawrence A. and Reta (Brady) Wayne of Homeworth, Ohio.

She was a graduate of Alliance High School in 1955. Her earlier years of learning were in the Country Schools of Knox Township.

Vesta was once employed by Graham and Wagner Monument Inc. as a secretary and also worked for Caring Hands Inc for 21 years before retiring.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Jennifer Burt of Alliance; grandchildren, Misty Smith of Alliance, Jaime Pumneo of Canton, and Jesse Burt of Canton; great-grandchildren, Michaela Smith of Alliance, Mason Smith of Alliance and Emma Pumneo of Canton; brother, Robert Wayne of Stanton, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sherrie Smith; her brother, Don Wayne; sister, Nancy Wutrick; three nephews; and an infant sister.

Per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
