Velma L. Leech

Velma L. Leech, age 84, passed away on March 1, 2024. 

She was born on September 28, 1939, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Melvin and Helen (Marshall) Hess.

Velma was a member of First Christian Church in North Canton where she also attended bible study. She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing word puzzles, and coloring books. Velma loved being around people and her cat.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Emmanouil (Caroline) Paris, Melvin Walter (Kristine) Paris; step-children, James Leech, Angie (Roy) Nutter, and Lisa (Tom) Montesano; grandchildren, Zachary, Abigail, Nicholas, Adam, Christian, Jessica, Brandon, Tyler,  Elizabeth, Josh, and Rosie; her sister, Jane Wilhelm; and brother, Melvin (Joyce) Hess.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul Leech.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on March 6th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
