Timothy Daniel Buckel entered the Lord's Kingdom on July 9, 2026 after a two year battle with melanoma.
Tim, the son of Daniel and Susan Oberholzer Buckel graduated Marlington in 1996, where he participated in soccer and basketball.
Tim leaves behind his wife of seventeen years, Christina (Catich); his children, Grace and Carson, father Dan; Stepmother, Karen; sisters, Lindsey Szymanski (Joel) and Sarah Davis (Lee); step-sisters, Emily Grigsby (Broe) and Jess Ferre (Tanner Stokey); In-laws, John and Cindy Catich; and sisters-in-law, Nikki Catich, Julie Moss (Jeff).
Tim was predeceased by mother Susan; sister, Stephanie Lynn; grandparents, Fred and Genevieve Oberholzer and Charles and Barbara Buckel; and beloved friend Nick Barton.
Tim dearly loved children and doted on his nieces and nephews, Ethan (fiance Kylie), Mia, Micah, Jette, Nolan, Sutton, Stevie and Salem.
He was a car enthusiast who thought a good day was spent at the auto auction, looking for bargains that he could repair and sell to those that perhaps could not afford newer models. He proudly took selfies with all who purchased a vehicle.
Family reunions and gatherings were the best of times for Tim, as he joyously greeted all who attended. Before his passing he encouraged people to live by The Golden Rule and trust in the Lord.
The family recognizes the many friends, relatives, and even strangers, who supported him and were by his side through difficult times, especially his church family, as well as Josh, Eric, Nick, Marcus, Jason, Tim and others, whom he considered brothers. Through his Facebook posts he received thousands of prayers and notes of encouragement, and according to staff, set records for Hospice visitors that may never be equaled.
The family would pass along their great gratitude and appreciation to the Compassionate Care Center, Canton, The Orchards, Alliance, and Hospice for their loving and gracious care in Tim's final days. Their efforts were beyond exceptional.
