Thomas E. Linerode

Thomas Eugene Linerode, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2026.

He was born on June 14, 1949, in Alliance, to Robert Roy and LonaBelle (Dennis) Linerode.

Tom graduated from Marlington High School. He was co-owner and operator of Brooklane Farms with his brother Keith. Tom was a 50 year member of Science Hill Community Church where he sang in the choir and served as a youth advisor.

He served on the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Company for 39 years and worked his way through the ranks as Captain, Assistant Chief and retiring as Chief. Tom was named outstanding fire fighter of the year for Stark County. He was also named Lexington Ruritans professional man of the year. Tom was a member of the Stark County Farm Bureau, Speedex Tractor Club, Stark County Fire Chiefs Association and the Fire Fighters Association.

He also loved to restore old farm equipment and even restored some of his grandfather's Little Giant Tractors which he then would display at shows across Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bonnie (Saunier); son, Seth Thomas Linerode; sister, Lori (Jerry) Dickerhoof; brothers, Keith Alan (Barbara) Linerode and Lyle Robert Linerode; sister-in-law, Kathy Linerode; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Philip Mansel Linerode.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, September 23rd.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jon Truax will officiate. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
