My LoveBug, Terry Keith Nieves, gained his wings in peace on October 22, 2025. He went peacefully in no pain in Ashtabula county after suffering another stroke on Wednesday 21st 2025.
He leaves behind his loving wife Tonya, whom he married June 12, 1992 in their hometown of Alliance, Ohio. Wherever he went, he would talk about his wife and how she was the best thing in his life and how she always stood by his side no matter what. When he proposed to Tonya, he first went to his future Father and Mother-in-law asking for permission to ask Tonya to be his wife. He promised to do all he could to make sure that Tonya knew she was loved and spoil her the way she was used to being spoiled; for which he surely did. He never left her side, even when she told him to leave. He always told her that the vows that were taken in their wedding he met 100%, and they were more than just words.
He always loved working with his hands in his chosen career of Carpentry, whether it was roofing or dry walling, He loved it all. When he wasn’t working, he loved to pitch horse shoes and play pool.
He is survived by several siblings, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by their daughter, Teri Renee`; dad, Julio Nieves; mother, Irene “Carol” Truman; step-father, Ernest “Ernie” Truman; an older sister, Tina; younger brothers, Randy and Ernest Truman Jr; and in-laws, Jim and Cindy Hively.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, November 6th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
A celebration of life will be held later on in the summer as he loved barbeques and the outdoors as much as he loved his video games.
