Sherry A. Mason Edgar, age 69 of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 5, 2012. She will join her life partner, Alan Venables, parents, sister, and other family members in heaven.
Sherry was born December 21, 1942 in Alliance, Ohio to Linus and Hazel (Vanhorn) Mason.
Sherry graduated from Kent State University and worked as a photographer. Sherry's family was grateful for her spiritual advisor, Joyce Hawkins-Williams.
Sherry will be missed by her brother Dennis Mason of Alliance, daughters, Karen Smith, Leigh Porter, and Carisa Witt; all of Alliance; ex-husband and dear friend Leo K. Edgar Jr.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many cousins and friends, and her loving dog, Boomer.
Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
