Scott R. Neil passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home to be with our Lord on July 13, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1955, in Washington, PA to Roy and Mariem Neil Campbell. Scott was a graduate of California Area High School & California University of PA with a degree in Biology. Scott spent most of his working years as a Manager in the Retail Industry and in his later years, worked for the Stark County Board of Elections.
Scott's favorite past times included traveling (particularly cruises), people watching, golf (especially with the Old Coots from the Alliance Elks) and cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. But his greatest joy was playing "Mr. Pickles" with his grandchildren and attending their school and sports events. Scott was known for being the "Big Kid" always chasing and playing with all the children in the family. He was also known for his infamous ham loaf, which he made for family functions.
Scott was preceded by his parents, Roy and Mariem and his stepfather, Merrill Campbell; brother, Keith; and his grandson, Vincent Warner.
Scott is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue; brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Debbie; daughters Amanda (Jason) Warner and Krystal (Stephen) Hancox; grandchildren, Qwintin, Calvin and Mallory Hancox; nephews Jordan and Emmitt; and his nieces, Rachel Neil and Ashley (Lucas) Milik, who held a special place in his heart.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and aids of Aultman Hospice and the numerous friends of Alliance First Christian Church.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 17 at Alliance First Christian Church at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11-1 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alliance First Christian Church (1141 W. Beech St. Alliance, Ohio 44601).
