Scott R. Blaser

Scott R. Blaser, age 51, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2026 at Aultman Hospital.

He was born on February 17, 1975 to John and Karen (Corbi) Blaser. He was a lifelong resident of Alliance.

A 1993 graduate of Alliance High School, Scott graduated from Mount Union College in 1997 with a degree in Art. Scott has spent several years designing the AHS Foundation Newsletter for his high school Alma Mater. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Alliance, and was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity at the University of Mount Union.

Scott was part of the Boy Scouts of America in his younger days, and enjoyed collecting comic books, playing video games and reading. Scott possessed a natural gift and love of art. The skills Scott grew over the years as an artist and knowledge of computers led him to become a graphic designer for Shepherd’s Heart. Scott also enjoyed traveling to numerous states over the years on family vacations and to visit his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Blaser and his brother, Chris Blaser.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Karen Blaser; sister, Becky (Alex) Grinch; nephew, Tyler Grinch and niece, Corbi Grinch.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, October 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 1659 W. State St., Alliance, OH 44601.

Scott’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. the same day and he will be buried at Mount Union Cemetery following his service.
