Ronald Lee Place, age 75, of Alliance, passed away at 12:17 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2019, at his home.
He was born December 7, 1943 in Paso Robles, California to Donald and Johnna (Meeks) Place.
Ron was a police officer for 35 years and retired as the Chief of Police at Camarillo State Hospital. He loved his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Anne Place of Alliance, John (Stacey) Place of New Boston, Texas and Summer (Rocky) Layne of Alliance; grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Layne; and brother, John (Mary) Place of Visalia, California.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Place whom he married December 9, 1978 and who died March 20, 2019.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, November 21st at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at Atwater Cemetery.
