Ronald Ford

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Ford announce his passing on February 13, 2026 at the age of 76.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Sally (Scarbino) Ford; son, Daron; brother, Daved (Debbie); and a niece and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Ford and Ruth Wachsman and a sister, Linda Ford.

Ron was born in Alliance and graduated from Alliance High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University where he was Vice President of the University Advertising Group. Ron managed several Radio Shack stores in Alliance and Canton from 1977 to 1984 and received many awards for his salesmanship. From 1985 to 2003 he was employed as a sales manager and Vice President of his family’s business, Mount Union Mill.

Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his golf colleagues. He had a great passion for sports, especially the Cleveland Guardians, Cavaliers and Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

His family and friends will remember him for his acts of kindness and witty sense of humor.

All who wish to honor his memory are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at the College Inn in Alliance on Sunday, May 17th from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
