Ronald E. "Ron" Bartlett, age 74, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on October 29, 2026. He was born in Alliance, Ohio, on February 10, 1952, to the late Harold Lloyd and Gertrude Grace Bartlett. He was a 1970 graduate of Marlington High School.
Throughout the years, Ron held many different positions but ultimately retired from Trumbull Correctional Institution, where he proudly served as a Corrections Officer for 14 dedicated years.
In his free time, Ron could often be found tinkering in his garage, restoring cars or working on woodworking projects. He was especially proud of building his family's log cabin home. He also treasured his 1936 Ford Coupe, which he had owned since he was just 17 years old. He looked forward to the annual family spring break vacation to Orlando (he hated the beach!). Ron and his beloved wife, Lisa, were fortunate to enjoy 14 vacations together over the last three years that Ron was able to be out and about. Of all the places they visited, the Grand Canyon was his favorite. Ron was especially proud of his daughters, Rachael and Gabrielle. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made it a point every morning to wish his friends a happy birthday on Facebook. Ron also had a special love for cats and even built a heated shelter for the stray cats to enjoy. His family will forever love him and cherish the memories they made with him.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Tucker; brothers-in-law, Raymond Tucker and Patrick Myers; and nephews, Raymond "Rusty" Tucker and Eric Yost.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 45 years, Lisa; daughters, Rachael Elizabeth Bartlett (Brandon Burd) and Gabrielle Nicole (Josh) Turner; nephews, Mark (Carolyn) Tucker and Jason (Lisa) Leanza; nieces, Mandy Yost and Crystal and Danielle Anderson; as well as other family members and dear friends.
Family and friends may visit at Cassady Turkle Christian Funeral Home (75 S Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601) on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 5pm until 8pm with a time to share memories at 6:00pm. He will be laid to rest privately at Highland Memorial Park.
