Robert William Herrmann

Robert William Herrmann (1938-2026) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 9, 2026.

Originally born in Cleveland, he spent most of his life in Alliance. Robert graduated from St. Joseph High School and later The University of Dayton. He continued his ongoing education at Youngstown State University. Robert worked as a professional engineer who worked for several companies, including B&W Research, before doing free-lance engineering. He kept working as an engineer until very recently. He is a member of St Joseph Church, a past member of the Alliance Elks, and an avid Judge Judy watcher.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Stephanie (Korte); sons, Christopher and Jodie (Rae) of Mesa, Arizona, Andy and Sarah (Neupert) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Peter of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; as well as his daughter, Lisa of Punta Gorda, Florida. He also has three grandchildren, Nick and Amanda (Simon) of Portland, Oregon, Andrea of Vernon, Connecticut, and Serena Herrmann of Tallmadge, OH. He has three siblings, Jeane Zarzour, Paul Herrmann and Dan Herrmann, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorthy Herrmann.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, August 14th from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Alliance on Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m.
