Robert F. “Bob” Haines, age 98, passed away on March 31, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1927 to the late Earl D. and Rose (Smith) Haines and was a resident of the Marlboro area all of his life.
Bob was a 1945 graduate of the former Marlboro High School. He was drafted at the end of World War II and served in the 13th Army Air Force and at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.
Bob worked for Quickdraft Corps and became President and CEO. He retired in 1992 after 38 years of service.
Bob was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and served as a trustee for many years. He was also a member of Conrade Lodge #271, Scottish Rite Tadmore Shrine, Legion of Honor, the American Legion, and the Alliance Elks #467. He served many years on the Marlington Alumni Board.
He loved to golf and surf fish. Bob also loved being a part of ‘The Breakfast Bunch’ and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Leslie Haines Pasco, Lisa (Larry) Halm and Laura (Marty) Joseph; his grandchildren, Thomas (Melissa) Pasco Jr., Brian (Faith) Pasco, Krista Pasco, Adam (Danielle) Graham, Abby (Colby) Donohoe, Brooke (Jim) Mash, Blair (Jordan) Chenevey, Bethany (Nathan) Fetrow and Brennan Joseph; and eighteen great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Dorothy “Dotty” Haines; and siblings, Earl Haines Jr. and Betty Mergenthaler.
A funeral service will be held at Aldersgate Family Methodist Church on Monday, April 6th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
The family would like to thank Jayme, Sue, Shannon and Phil for their excellent care and help with Bob.
