Richard I. Williams Sr.

Richard Williams Sr, age 87, passed away on October 28, 2022.

He was born on January 9, 1935 in Belmont County, OH to James and Anna (Burkhart) Williams.

Richard honorably served his country with the United States Army for three years.

He was a chipper/tool repairman at American Steel for 34 years where he retired.

Richard was a life member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion Post #76 in Sebring.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife of 64 years and whom he married on September 30, 1958, Mary “Marlyn” Williams; daughters, Michelle Williams-Andrews, Melissa K. Williams, and Amanda (Shaya) Moss; sons, Richard (Lori) Williams Jr, and Patrick Williams; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Polly; and three brothers Harold, Donald, and Russell.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Chaplain Joe Kampert officiating. Friends may call starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
