Ray A. Orlando, age 88, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
He was born on September 7, 1935 in Alliance, to John and Virginia (Thomas) Orlando.
He graduated from Alliance High School and Mount Union College and for 30 years was the Technical Director for General Tire and Rubber.
Ray was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, the Board of Directors for the Hot Stove League and for 10 years coached football, baseball and basketball.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice L. (Lacivita) Orlando whom he married on June 4, 1955; sons, Valentino, Joseph, John (Angie) and Michael (Sherry) Orlando; grandchildren, Danielle, Joseph, John, Deanna, Matthew, Daniel, Thomas, Phillip, Nick and Felicia and great grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryann, Aiden, Dominic, Luca, Liam, Leo, Abriana and Nolin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Emery; and sisters, Mary Lue and Carol.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday April 12, 2024 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with a visitation one hour prior to mass.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alliance.
