Phillip Lee Stewart

Phillip Lee Stewart, age 82, of Alliance passed away on April 12, 2021.

He was born on October 11, 1938 in Alliance to Robert Stewart and Geraldine (Palmer) Thomas.

Phil graduated from Alliance High School in 1956. He worked for American Steel Foundries for over 40 years until his retirement in 1997. Phil enjoyed fishing and loved to debate anything.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia (Cundiff) Stewart, whom he married on March 5, 1960; son, Juan A.L. Stewart Sr.; grandchildren, Stacey Lynn (Damon) Hamel and Juan A.L. Stewart Jr.; great-grandson, Javonne L. Stewart Jr.; step-granddaughter, Ayana Hatcher; step-brother, Frank Burrell; step-sister, Angela (Lance) Curtiss; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Stewart and Geraldine (Palmer) Thomas; Step-Mom, Ella Stewart; brother, Robert Stewart Jr.; and sister, Lucriea Stewart.

A memorial service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, April 16th at 11:00 a.m.

The family of the late Phillip L. Stewart would like to thank Community Care for taking such good care of him. Also, Alliance Hospice for the care and support they gave him and the family. They would also like to thank Francine Napier for the care she gave when he was in the home. Thank you friends and family for the support given during this grievous time.
