Paul L. Newhouse, age 86, of Alliance, passed away at 5:52 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born January 2, 1928, in Alliance, Ohio, to Homer and Jeanette (Schrader) Newhouse.
Paul was a graduate of Alliance High School and received his bachelor degree from Indiana Institute of Technology. He was employed as a mechanical engineer at Morgan Engineering and Marlboro Manufacturing.
A member of the Science Hill Community Church, he was also a member of the Alliance Elks, American Legion and the Alliance Senior Citizens Center. He loved golfing, bowling and coaching his son's Hot Stove League Baseball team.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Paul is survived by his wife, Jean Ann (King) Newhouse, whom he married May 19, 1962; son, Greg Newhouse of Tallmadge; and a granddaughter, Amanda Newhouse of Wadsworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald; sister, Maxine Ziegler and an infant daughter, Deborah Ann.
Services will be held at Noon Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Truax officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
