Patricia Ann Jackson

Patricia Ann Jackson (née Malley), of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Patricia was born in Woonsocket, RI, on May 11, 1940, where she was raised by her parents William Malley and Alice (Bovin) Malley. She attended St. Clare High Academy in Woonsocket, RI. She moved to Akron area in 1968, where she and her former husband Samuel Joseph Jackson Jr. raised their children. She worked for several restaurants in the Akron area such as The Tangier, Li'l Joe's Pub, and Papa Joe's. She most recently worked at the Giant Eagle super market in Fairlawn since 2000, where she was recognized often as an employee of the month. Patricia, known as Pat by those who loved her, was an incredibly hardworking lady, endearing herself to her many customers. Pat was always quick with a smile and a little side of fun sass that had her in demand at the restaurant, with many loyal fans requesting her with every visit. In her spare time, Pat would spend hours in her yard gardening and growing vegetables. She absolutely loved being outside, surrounded by her beautiful flowers and her pets. She was a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Akron.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah LaBelle, of Florida; son, Bruce Degre Sr. and his wife Diana; of Massachusetts; Samuel Joseph Jackson III and wife Kathy of Akron; and Thomas and Kelly Jackson of Oregon. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Colin Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Sebastian Parish Foundation in her name.  Arrangements are entrusted to Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home 75 South Union Ave Alliance, Ohio 44601.
