Patricia Lee Drake Johnson

Patricia Lee Drake Johnson, age 79, of Alliance passed away at Community Care Center on March 7, 2021.

She was born on June 21, 1941 in Rockford, Illinois to James Woodrow Drake and Avonne V. Dauenbaugh Drake.Patricia graduated from the University of Illinois; she married Dennis K. Johnson while attending. They then moved to Long Beach, California and had three children. They settled in Alliance in 1976. Pat began her 22 year career after becoming single with the Stark County District Library. She managed the North Branch for most of her career.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathleen; sons, Gregory (Michelle) and Steven (Melissa); grandchildren, Trey, Christopher, Anthony, Sunday, James, Natasha, Brittany, Michael, Aleigh, Carter, Kelly, Emily and O’Reiley; great-grandson, Gavin; dear former daughters-in-law, Deanne, Cassandra and Michelle; brothers, Steven, Douglas, Bradley (Cynthia) and David (Roxanne) Drake all of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth; and grandson, Nickolas.

The love and friendship of Union Avenue United Methodist Church was extraordinary during Pat’s cancer treatments. The doctors and caregivers were greatly appreciated. Pat’s family would like to thank Hospice at Alliance Community Care Center.

Cremation was conducted with Cassaday-Turkle-Christian. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
