Mildred Louise Thomas

Mildred “Millie” Louise Thomas, age 89, passed away on August 7, 2026.

She was born on December 19, 1936, in Tyre, PA, to Charles and Lydia (Gray) George.

Millie enjoyed traveling, playing games, and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Darla (Brian) Covert; sons, Tom (Mary) Park and Gene Roosa; sisters, Alice Lenigar and Patty Winters; sister-in-law, Lois George; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James F. Thomas; daughter, Melinda Vissuso; siblings, Lily McDonough, Rose Robinson, Pearl Percy, Donald, Charles and James “Sonny” George; and step-daughter, Rhonda Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
