Michael L. Decker, age 77, passed away on November 7, 2023. He recently marked his 77th birthday with several celebrations with family and friends.
He was born on October 25, 1946, in Canton, to Loren and Dorothy (Dommer) Decker.
Michael worked as a land surveyor for Hammontree and Associates. He served honorably in the United States Army.
Michael enjoyed all sports and spending time outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan (Hartenstein) Decker, whom he married on June 21, 1975; his daughter, Sarah (Dan) Cappel; son, Ben (Shanna) Decker; six grandchildren, Wesley, Clark, Reed, Carina, Opal Loren, and Dorothy “Dottie”; and many lifelong friends who were there for him through it all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and lifelong friends, Bud Yoho and Phil Micciche.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
