Michael E. "Mick" Bosick, 79, passed away on August 7, 2026 after a brief illness.
He was born on November 5, 1946 in Conneaut, Ohio to the Late Stephen P. Bosich and Irene Weaver Bosick.
Mick was a 1964 Rowe High School graduate. He obtained his B.S. in Education from Kent State in 1971 and his Masters in Administration from Youngstown State in 1978.
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Brother-in-Law, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Coach, and School
Administrator, his career encompassed Alliance City Schools, West Branch Local Schools, and Sebring High School. During his career he was a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar and the 1978 AHS Teacher of the Year.
In his community, Mick was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Alliance, a life member of Knights of Columbus and B.P.O. Elks #467. He was a former member of Kiwanis, Alliance Food Pantry, Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, Professional Associations for Secondary School Principals, and the T.A.B.L. Fantasy Baseball League. He also coached his daughter's softball teams.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Helen (Poff) Bosick; daughter, Abigail Herrington; granddaughters, Cheyenne and Ella Herrington; brother, Thomas R. (Jerrilyn) Bosick; sisters-in-law, Barbara A. Talan, Cheryl A. Poff, and Lisa Poff; and 48 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Luella Adams and Kathryn Puffer; brother, Stephen P. Bosick Jr.; brothers-in-law, Gerald O. Puffer, J. Michael Poff, William R. Poff; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rapose Bosick; three nephews; and two nieces.
Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, September 7th from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Matt Humerickhouse will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Community Food Pantry, 215 E Market St, Alliance, OH 44601 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
