Melissa Dawn Lane

Melissa Dawn Lane, age 48, passed away on November 29, 2023.

She was born on January 2, 1975, in Canton, to Thomas E. and Bobbi J. (Day) Hoover.

Melissa was a faithful warrior of the living God who was faithful to her unto the end. A graduate of Marlington High School, she worked various jobs as a nanny, dental assistant and waitress. Melissa attended Grace Community Church. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping, and everything aviation.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents; maternal grandmother, Mamion Day; children, Sarah Lane, Victoria Lane, and Andrew Lane; siblings, Crystal Hoover and Thomas J-M Hoover; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; her favorite child, her dog, Zeus; and many un-biological children.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Earl Day Sr.; paternal grandparents, William and Irene Hoover; and uncle, Earl Day Jr.

Visitation will be at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 5^th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 6^th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
