Mary Jane White, age 92, of Alliance, died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1913 in Alliance, Ohio to George and Margaret (Madden) Newkirk and was a lifelong resident.
Mary Jane graduated from Alliance High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society.
Survivors include her children Michael (Judy) White of Ashland, OH, Patricia Martin of Agoura, CA, Molly White of Columbus and James (Deborah) White of Alliance; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and brother James Newkirk of Alliance
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold White whom she married Dec. 24, 1939 and who passed away May 20, 1968.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Donald Feicht officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 925 S. Main St., N.Canton, OH 44720.
