Mary I. Aufrance

Mary I. Aufrance, age 100, passed away on October 19, 2026.

She was born on October 3, 1926, in Fairhope, Alabama, to Zalo and Lydia (Guidon) Miles.

Mary graduated from Friends Boarding School in 1944. She was a member of Alliance Evangelical Friends Church where she was a part of the Children’s Ministries, United Methodist Women’s Group, and was a Certified Life Speaker.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathleen Ann (Glenn) Jerell, Jerry Lynn Aufrance, Janice Sue (Scott) Walsh, and Marcia Jean Todd; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Sue Roth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Aufrance whom she married on June 28, 1947; her son, Kenneth Lee; and brothers, Carroll and Richard Miles.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, October 23rd 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
