Mary M. (Waldron) Ackerman, RN, LMT, age 87, passed away on August 25, 2023.
She was born on June 9, 1936 in Manhattan, New York City, NY, to William and Marguerite (Sutton) Waldron.
A graduate of the former Flushing Hospital School of Nursing, Mary was employed as a labor and delivery nurse at Alliance Community Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was then a self-employed massotherapist for 11 years, retiring again, in 1997.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the League of Women Voters, Ohio Nurses Association and the Holistic Nurses Association.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Ackerman, whom she married October 4, 1958; sons, Joseph W., Andrew R. and Michael W.; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William Waldron.
A private service will be held at a later date.
