Marlene M. Haines, age 92, passed away on January 2, 2024.
She was born on August 1, 1931, in Alliance, to Earl and Mabel (Myers) Mergenthaler.
Marlene graduated from Alliance High School. She worked as a machine operator at Buckeye Packaging until her retirement. Marlene enjoyed music and playing cards.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, LuAnn (Tony) Sokol; son, Lee Haines; granddaughter, Emily Sokol; great-grandchildren, twins, Layton and Gracey Roberts and Maddie Roberts; and brother, Jerry Mergenthaler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl D. Haines Jr.; and her siblings.
A private family service will be held. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
