Marjorie L. Merryman

Marjorie L. (Chapman) Merryman, age 88, of Canton, passed away at 6:27 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Laurels of Canton.
She was born Christmas Day, 1928, in Alliance, to Merle and Gladys (Kannal) Chapman.
Marjorie was a 1947 graduate of Alliance High School and was employed by the former Wilson's House of Flowers in Alliance.
A former member of First Christian Church, she was also a former member of the OES Chapter in Alliance, AARP and the Alliance Area Senior Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Merryman of Canton; grandchildren, Amy Weidman, Michael Bower, Traci Bower and Ryan Merryman; great grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, Darian and Makayla; and brother, Warren (Margaret) Chapman of Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Merryman whom she married June 20, 1948 and who passed away in November of 1981; her son, Larry Merryman; brothers, Charles, Robert, Kenneth, Richard and Paul Chapman; and great grandson, Michael Bower.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society/ Stark Co., 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
