Marion Aurelius Board

Marion Aurelius Board, age 75, went home to be with the Lord, at his home on January 23, 2022.

He was born May 13, 1946 to Amanda and Samuel Board in Carlisle, WV. Marion graduated from Alliance High School. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1964-1967 and completed a tour in Vietnam. Marion retired from J&L Steel in Louisville, OH in 2004.

He loved spending time with his family, fishing, going to the gym and watching the Cleveland Browns.

Marion leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Dora Board; his great-grandson he raised as his son, Coreyon Brisker; sister, Bonnie (Jeffery) McMillion of Dayton; brother-in-law, Bobby Williams of Dayton; his children, Brenda Edwards, Otis Gattis, Carmen Gattis, Curtis (Rebecca) Taylor, Yevette Taylor, Chenel (Albert) Covington of Canton, Carlous (Lucia) Blair, and Joseph (Carolyn) Blair of Columbus; an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alfreda Williams; brothers, Samuel Board, Arthur Board and Valentino Board; and nephew, Bobby Williams Jr.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27th from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. A Going Home Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Dr. Nick Myers officiating. The family asks that those attending wear a mask.
