Maria Bosca age 88 of Alliance, died at her home at 2:25 p.m. September 28, 2004.
She was born January 16, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to Ioan and Filoftia (Budac) Budac and lived in Alliance since 1971.
Mrs. Bosca attended St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, and was a member of the U.R. Transylvania Society.
Mrs. Bosca enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Survivors include two sons Aurel (Angie) Bosca Jr. and Matei (Paraschiva) Blendea, both of Alliance; three grandchildren Doina, Mary Jean and Steven, three great-grandchildren Matthew, Spencer, and Brendon, two sisters Silvia (Victor) Padurean and Filoftia Budac, both of Romania, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Dumitru Blendea, her second husband Aurel Bosca Sr., who died Jan. 16, 1997, two brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church with Fr. Raymond Samolia officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A Saracusta Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
