Marc T. Hoffman

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Marc T. Hoffman born on May 26, 1946, and departing on February 12, 2024. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Hoffman; his children, Michael Hoffman and Melissa Jimenez; his grandchildren, Andrew Hoffman, Ayla Steyer, and Skylah Jimenez. He also had 3 great-grandchildren, Izabell, Joanne, and Kacey Hoffman.

Marc was a beloved English teacher at Lake High School for over 30 years and he also taught on the Kent State Stark Campus. An avid lover of history, he often traveled to Gettysburg and enjoyed walking the battlefield. He was cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him, arguing with him, and laughing with him. We would like to share that his passing was like his life... on his terms.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle Christian Funeral Home on Monday, February 19th from 4:00-6:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St. Jude.
